Welcome to St Mary's!

St. Mary's - WavertreeWelcome to our website!  If you'd like to join us in person, our regular Sunday service is in church at 10.30am, for all ages.  This is a Communion service each week, except for our Parade Service on the second Sunday of the month.  We also meet at 9.15am on the first Sunday of the month for a quieter, more formal service of Communion.

At St Mary's, we aim to be a church community that includes and involves all ages, and, in recognition of this, we have been granted the Liverpool Diocesan 'Child Friendly Church Award'. There's even an article about us receiving the award on the Diocesan website - you can read it by clicking 'here'.

Core to our values are inclusion of everyone in a caring community, a deepening experience of God in worship, and a church seeking to find ways of being and proclaiming good news in mission to our neighbourhood and networks.

We’re certainly not the finished article, but are a church on the way with an energy and desire to grow and develop.

We hope that you'll get a flavour of St Mary's from this website, and feel that you want to visit in person some time. Please be assured of a warm welcome and a place for you in a growing community of followers of Christ.

For further information please feel free to use the contacts listed in this site. You can also find us on Facebook.

Lilyfield Cafe

Lilyfield cafe

Lilyfield Job Club    The Lilyfield Job Club, which is part of the overall Lilyfield Mission, is held within the Lilyfield Café from 10.00am to noon each Monday when the café is open.

The Job Club is also embedded into the Lilyfield Mission so the full range of Lilyfield services – spiritual support, companionship and friendship making as well as excellent coffee, tea and snacks - is also available.

Jobseekers in receipt of benefits from Job Centre Plus need to use a government internet hosted website – Universal Jobmatch – to look for and wherever possible apply for work. To use the website requires jobseekers to first of all register on line, use password protected access screens, have and use e-mail and have and maintain a CV on line. We have extended our computer provision from four to six but still need volunteers to help people access the site. Does this sound like something you would like to try?  If you can surf the web and use e-mail, you can help an unemployed person on a Monday why not contact us?
