Holy Week & Easter 2009

Over Holy Week St Mary's is going to be serialising the second half of Franco Zeffirelli's masterpiece Jesus of Nazareth, giving us an opportunity to watch these world-changing events unfold as the week progresses, while responding to them in prayer and worship.  This will begin with our Palm Sunday service and will progress through three special service in Holy Week, each containing about half-an-hour of film followed by reflection, finishing with the Easter Morning scenes in our Easter Sunday Celebration service.  You are welcome to come to the whole series or to simply drop in to any services that they are able to attend.

For full details of the series, including times and themes, download our flyer from the special page under the 'Services' tab above.  If you are unable to download files, the page also displays the main services in text form.

deepening faith

At the heart of who we are and all that we do, we seek to be…

deepening faith; holding Jesus, and the call to faithfully follow him, as our principal value

building community

At the heart of who we are and all that we do, we seek to be…

building community; welcoming, respecting and fully including everyone, and actively supporting one another in discovering our gifts and reaching our full potential

engaging others

At the heart of who we are and all that we do, we seek to be…

engaging others; serving the wider community of Wavertree, and the networks we are involved in, by both being and proclaiming good news
