the new January...

The Government have declared September as the new January in terms of detoxing after the excesses of the summer!  At St Mary's we're having a bit of a 'start afresh' in our weekly worship by focussing our learning together, between now and Advent, on the essential beliefs of Christianity.

alpha

To do this we'll be using some of the material from the Alpha course, whilst giving opportunity to grapple with it and find your own path.  Just as computers need rebooting from time to time to strip away the stuff that builds up and get back to a clean operating system, so every now and again it's good to reboot our faith to reconsider what is really important.  The services during September, October and November will help us to do this.

St Mary's is also taking part in a full Alpha course being run at Liverpool Cathedral on Monday evenings beginning on the 21st September at 7:30pm.  For more information about either the services or this course, click the 'contact us' button above and email your enquiry.

deepening faith

At the heart of who we are and all that we do, we seek to be…

deepening faith; holding Jesus, and the call to faithfully follow him, as our principal value

building community

At the heart of who we are and all that we do, we seek to be…

building community; welcoming, respecting and fully including everyone, and actively supporting one another in discovering our gifts and reaching our full potential

engaging others

At the heart of who we are and all that we do, we seek to be…

engaging others; serving the wider community of Wavertree, and the networks we are involved in, by both being and proclaiming good news
